eVigilant is seeking an Electronic Security Technician (Level IV) to provide Electronic Security System installations of security equipment and cabling in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, customer and industry standards. As a technician Level IV you should have the work experience installing basic equipment which involves using hand tools and power tools, an extensive understanding of Security Systems including CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems, blueprints and knowledge of codes and standards. Technician shall make every effort to become certified in multiple manufacturers systems.
*** This role requires travelling 3 weeks per month to various sites around the US***
Responsibilities:
- The Electronic Security Technician (Level IV) will work independently and lead other Technicians to successfully complete small, medium, and large security installations.
- Strong working knowledge of contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Control field costs for the company and subcontract work.
- Schedule and monitor field productivity.
- Participate in the project management functions.
- Installation, terminating, testing, troubleshooting CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems, cabling and associated equipment
- Install various types of Low Voltage Cable , Cable Tray, Panels, and Enclosures
- Ability work independently to oversee projects with little or no supervision
- Completes or assists in typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards. Provides detailed information to communicate design and operation to the customer
- Completes the loading, device verification and commissioning of all system controllers as required
- Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems to ensure proper operation. Provides accurate as built and commissioning documentation
- Knowledge and safe use of hand tools and various power tools 
- Ensure compliance with Safety Policies and Procedures
- Plan and organize project work to assure all work is completed in accordance with contract requirements
- Assist in resolution of scope conflicts in coordination with the Project Manager
- Provide on-the-job training opportunities for technicians and helpers
- Perform assigned tasks as required to complete service calls including but not limited to troubleshooting, equipment replacement, basic system programming, installation coordination, system, commissioning, and closeout assistance.
- Ensures work performed complies with state, local and Federal legal requirements.
- Performs site-specific training for owner operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensures owner operator has been trained. Provides proper documentation and manuals for system operation.
- Completes service tickets and surveys in a detailed manner
- Technician must be able to train and supervise entry and Tech level 1 personnel in a team environment to facilitate installing cable from equipment rooms to field devices while following drawings and run lists to ensure cables are installed methodically and arranged in proper bundles for ease of dressing and termination. 
- Technician must be able to perform quality assurance checks of their team's work ensuring cable and device install is performed within all specified requirements
- Develop a plan for sequence of work in line with the project schedule to assure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents
- Develops project plans and coordinates the required resources to ensure timely and effective installation and completion of assigned projects
- Maintain a clean work area and participate in job site clean up
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
Basic Qualifications:
- Up to 85% travel which may be for extended periods.
- High School diploma or GED is required   
- Must have an excellent safety record, a valid driver's license, and clean driving record in order to meet corporate eligibility requirements to drive a company owned vehicle as necessary
- Must be able to pass and maintain a USG security clearance/background check
- Demonstrated experience and ability to read and to understand plans and specifications
- Minimum of 6 years direct work experience with electronic security systems and installation of systems
- 5 years technical hands-on experience in commissioning and programming security or access control systems. Relevant systems include but not limited AMAG, Bosch, DMP, Gallagher, Hirsch, Lenel, etc.
- Valid Certification in more than one of the following: AMAG, Bosch, DMP, Gallagher, Hirsch, Lenel, etc.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders
- Ability to walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electronics Certification from an accredited Technical School or equivalent military training.
- Certifications or classroom training and experience with fiber and networks, as well as a working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft programs and databases strongly preferred
- Knowledge of project accounting, costing principals and contracting
- Strong communications, time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives 
- Consistently report to work on time, work well with other to accomplish a common goal and maintain a safe work environment
