Job Details
- Shift - 2nd Shift is 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday (OT is often available, but not frequently required)

Pay
At Charter, we strive to recognize everyone for the talents they bring to us, and for this reason our starting pay can vary per candidate. For this role:
- This second shift role pays $29.50 - $37.00 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential. Actual pay can be higher based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
- This role is also eligible for a $5,000 hiring bonus after 90 days of successful employment and quarterly bonuses based on company performance.

What you’ll do
Our Electromechanical Technicians are work on our Maintenance team to repair and maintain production machines. This can include electrical/wiring and general machine maintenance on stamping presses, cold forming machines, and other automated equipment in a Production environment.
- Maintain & Troubleshoot Equipment: Using a variety of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring devices, you will, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of electromechanical systems, keeping downtime to a minimum. Perform regular and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operation, which will require you to frequently stand, walk, and occasional lifting up to 60 lbs. Use your Mechanical maintenance and electrical maintenance skills.
- Problem-Solve: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex electromechanical issues, utilizing your strong problem-solving skills. Think on your feet and adapt to ever-changing situations.
- Apply your Technical Expertise: Read and understand technical documents like blueprints, schematics, and manuals to effectively maintain and repair equipment.
- Collaborate: Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
- Focus on Safety: Prioritize safety by following all established procedures and using appropriate safety equipment.
- Continuously Grow: Expand your knowledge base through training programs and actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
What we look for
- Technical Expertise / Education: Technical degree in a related field, journeyman’s card, or five-plus years’ related experience as an industrial maintenance technician (electrical/mechanical). You should be comfortable reading complex electrical schematics, code books, and safety procedures. You will also need broad knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, electronic controls and devices and electrical/electronic theory.
- Proven Skills: Experience with line setups, electrical systems inspection, and operating electrical testing equipment is a must. Mathematical skills (fractions, percentages) are essential. Experience using precision measuring equipment and welding/torch equipment is required; while not required, experience with various industrial control systems (PLC/Drives: Allen Bradley, Siemens), motors (AC/DC), and mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydraulic/Pneumatic) is also helpful.

Physical Requirements of the Job
