Overview:
DCS Corporation is looking for a talented Electro-Mechanical Technician to join the Vehicle Integration Team to physically build/integrate cables, hardware and various LRU’s on Ground Vehicles and Simulators. The ideal candidate must be a self-driven, self-starter, who is reliable and willing to work closely with an interdisciplinary team of Managers, Engineers and Technicians.
Job Responsibilities:
Fabricate MIL Spec cable harnesses in accordance with the IPC/WHMA-A-620 and DCS build process documentation.
Install electrical cabling and equipment into Ground Vehicles and Simulators.
Modify/repair electrical/mechanical issues in base vehicle platforms as needed.
Fabricate/modify bracketry and boxes for custom installs.
Produce accurate work and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Maintains tools and equipment.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance.
HS diploma with 7 years of experience.
Experience drilling, grinding and modifying mechanical assemblies.
Knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics.
Cable fabrication experience, ability to read electrical schematics
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Less than 10% travel anticipated.
Desired Skills:
Experience building Mil-Spec cables.
Experience welding
Experience running machines such as an End Mill or Lathe
Experience in PCB soldering/fabrication.
Knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems on Ground Vehicles such as MRAP, Stryker, Bradley, JLTV, HMMWV and/or FMTV
