Job Summary
The Electro-Mechanical Sr. Working Lead will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support to manufacturing of space flight sub-systems and support equipment.
This position's internal job code is Electro-Mechanical Technician Sr. Our team is currently hiring for Grade 24.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for training and mentoring all team members
- Responsible for reporting and communicating with management daily, escalating engineering
- and supply chain constraints to management
- Responsible for deciding how to approach tasks and develop a plan to accomplish them,
- including job assignments
- Provide feedback to engineering regarding technical adjustments and potential design/DFM
- solutions
- Responsible for maintaining 5S standards and tool/equipment management for area
- Responsible for distributing information to team members and stake holders, from
- management
- Provides direct feedback to employee when not meeting expectations set forth by
- management
- Responsible for providing relevant performance-based feedback to direct management on
- both existing employees and new candidates as the technical SME
- Perform second party verifications and visually inspect mechanical assemblies to drawings,
- engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures.
- Support in other mechanical areas defined by Millennium Space Systems Leadership as
- business needs require.
- Communicate anticipated blockers and solutions to management.
- Build EM assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications,
- written assembly procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Assemble PCB assemblies into product chassis.
- Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
- Support non-conformances identification, investigation, and associated rework/repair.
- Soldering and reworking components.
- Implement and maintain a 5S/Tool control program.
- Delegated inspection authority on all 2PV processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability
- products (preferably aerospace products)
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, harness wiring diagrams, internal and
- external specifications.
- Experience using inspection tooling (e.g. calipers, micrometers, DMM, depth gauges, etc.)
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with using various hand tools.
- Experience mixing epoxy materials.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Jira and PowerPoint.
- Able to work 2nd shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certification and/or Trade School training.
- 4 years of soldering experience.
- 2 years of leadership experience
- 4 yrs experience building a variety of component-level space products (e.g. avionics boxes,
- batteries, mechanisms, optics, printed circuit board assemblies, solar arrays, etc.)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working in a clean room environment.
- Ability to generate discrepancy reports as they occur in areas of influence.
- IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification
- Ability to Obtain Clearance
- Ability to travel
- Able to work 2nd shift

Summary Pay-Range
- Grade 24: $27.93/hr - $44.71/hr
