Malace|HR is seeking an experienced Electrician to work onsite at an automotive manufacturer in Salem, VA. The Electrician will be responsible for building maintenance. The role is on 1st shift.
Technical RequirementsMaintenance Electrician
- 7 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience preferred.
- PLC Knowledge
- Training equivalent to journeyman status or certification in an engineering discipline
- Proven ability to work on both electrical and mechanical systems as needed.
- Must have a high mechanical and electrical aptitude that can be demonstrated with standardized testing / or experience.
- The ideal candidate would also have experience working within an industrial production and facility maintenance department.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrician is responsible for working closely with our customer to identify maintenance opportunities for improving manufacturing quality, reducing costs, increasing efficiency and working within a team to ensure effective execution. This role applies expertise in industrial facility maintenance to perform all work safely while setting an example for quality and laying out the map for their team's success. This maintenance professional leads by example to impart the company culture of 100% accountability, 100% of the time with safety as the top priority.
Duties and Responsibilities- Enforce Company policies.
- Lead the fulfillment of MacLellan - Vision, Mission and Strategic Objectives.
- Execute the tactics to accomplish MacLellan strategies and goals at site level.
- Cultivate long-lasting mutually beneficial partnerships with clients.
- Execute and comply with the human resource strategy that characterizes a learning organization.
- Participate actively in the growth creation of MacLellan best practices.
- Be available for all shifts and weekends to meet customer needs.
- Maintain line-side parts inventory for equipment
- Communicate to the customer open issues and seek additional Scope work to support growth
- All other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Detail oriented, good organizational skills, able to manage time and priorities to assist with multiple projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Mechanical Systems, low and medium voltage (480V). Electrical controls installation and troubleshooting.
- Electrical conduit, wire, and equipment and motor installation up to 480V.
- Experience reading Electrical Schematics for installation and troubleshooting.
- Lighting systems installation and repair.
- High Voltage (Substation and Transformer) experience a plus.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced Production environment.
- PLC experience a plus.
- Ability to perform equipment maintenance using CMMS WO.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment repairs and improvements.
- Ability to fully document WO and correctives.
- Perform all duties of the Maintenance Electrician, also is responsible for assisting Management by covering absenteeism, coordination and delivery of products to meet facility needs.
