Electrician (Industrial) -- Automotive Manufacturer (30084) at Activ8

An international automotive parts manufacturer by the Piqua, OH area is currently searching for an Electrician (Industrial) to support their facility repair needs. This is a full-time, direct hire position with openings on multiple shifts available.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial facility, including power distribution systems, motors, switches, breakers, and bus ducts
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose problems, and develop effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and production interruptions
• Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to coordinate electrical work and ensure the safe and efficient execution of projects
• Interpret and understand electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations during all electrical work
• Keep accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities

Qualifications:

• Two-year Electrical degree or equivalent; electrical Journeyman card or 2-3 years of Industrial Maintenance
• Prior experience as a electrician, preferably in an industrial facilities or manufacturing environment
• Capable of carrying out tasks in various weather conditions, climbing stairs and ladders, and able to work at elevated heights
• Ability to interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and tools
• Good understanding of safety practices and procedures related to electrical work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments
• Flexibility to work overtime, occasional weekends, and shutdown periods as needed

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
