Electrician, Instrument, Analyzer - Qualified Pay $53.03 hourly pay
Pay and Benefits:
+ Employees with journeyman electrical work experience who are qualified can start at $53.03. The maximum rate for the position is $57.84 with demonstrated qualification/proficiency after being hired. Annual increases are scheduled.
+ Over-time Opportunities Available as Desired.
+ Annual salary without over-time is over $110,000 a year minimum.
+ Annual Bonus plan that applies to all annual eligible earnings with a target of 6% - 12% of your annual income. ($6,600 - $13,200)
+ 401k plan with Company match of 7% on 6% employee contribution. (Minimum - $7,700)
+ Cash balance pension plan of 7%/9%/11% depending on age and years of service. (Minimum - $7,700)
+ Paid vacation, sick and holidays - 3 weeks of vacation, 7 sick days and 10 paid holiday.

Job Summary:
Marathon’s Martinez Renewable Fuels Facility, in Martinez, CA is currently looking for an experienced I/A/E Technician - Electrician. Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, the I/E/A Technician - Electrician will support the operation of the facility through properly maintaining the electrical systems. They will be responsible for the installation, modification, and maintenance of all electrical systems, including the troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment used throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilites:
+ Use of various tools and equipment to effectively troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission electrical systems.
+ Ensure all work is performed in a safe and environmentally compliant manner, adhering to site Health and Safety processes and Environmental regulations.
+ Perform work per applicable technical standards and specifications (Marathon, Industry, or Manufacturer).
+ Execute preventive maintenance activities as part of our Mechanical Integrity Program.
+ Able to understand/use electrical one-line drawings and schematics and operate electrical testing equipment.
+ Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and replace components in both AC and DC electrical systems.
+ Rack in and rack out electrical contactors and circuit breakers.
+ Execute Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, work permitting, and other Marathon and industry safety processes.
+ Understand and adhere to Marathon’s electrical safe work practices.
+ Understand when electrical PPE is necessary and donning when appropriate.
+ Able to work alone or as a team to accomplish work efficiently and to high quality standards.
+ Effective verbal and written communication and reporting on as-found and as-left conditions.
+ Expected to train and become proficient on the maintenance of instrument and analyzer systems, including installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
Education, Experience and Skills
Minimum Qualifications
+ Must have a high school diploma or GED.
+ Must have completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or trade school or two years of verifiable journeyman level electrical work experience.
+ Must have previous experience and knowledge in the troubleshooting, repair, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems. This includes Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), batteries, motor control centers (MCC), three phase power, motor control circuits, synchronous and induction motors, lighting systems, cathodic protection, motor operated valves (MOV), transformers, overhead power distribution, conduit, and other electrical devices.
+ Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the facility and be able to physically perform all tasks in the field.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.
+ Must obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
+ Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
+ Must be able to support irregular or extended work hours and call-out situations when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Electrical work experience in a refining, petrochemical, or other related industry preferred.
+ Medium and/or high voltage experience preferred.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SAP preferred.
