- Starting Pay: 31.31/hour, Skilled Pay: 32.25 /hour

Work Schedule:
- 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 10:30pm)
- Daily/Weekly overtime possible
Plant Overview:
- Non-union plant employing 280 employees across 3 shifts.
- Purchased in 1934 from Breyer’s Ice Cream and began producing caramel in 1935.
- Began producing Marshmallows and Marshmallow Crème in 1961 and Marbits (think dehydrated marshmallows found in cereal) in 1979.
- Kendallville is the sole producer of all our product lines.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair all electrical/electronic equipment and control equipment associated with the building, production, and utilities.
- Coordinate with production to address any corrective maintenance required on assigned equipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on all production, building, and utilities equipment as assigned.
- Participate in the development of detailed preventive maintenance plan.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design.
- Troubleshoot and modify programs on existing programmable controllers and write new programs for existing and new programmable computers.
- Analyze equipment failures and recommend/implement corrective actions.
- Communicate with maintenance personnel on other shifts, as necessary, to ensure coordination of maintenance efforts on assigned equipment.
- Work cross functionally as a member of the operations team.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
Qualifications:
- Electrical training/degree and experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC’s and components
- Knowledge of 240/480V systems
- Ability to troubleshoot ladder logic and make edits as required.
- Self-motivated and strong drive for results.
- Use simple mathematics.
- Lift 50 pounds.
- Able to climb a ladder.
- Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles.
- Able to work in hot and humid conditions.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, work safety, etc. preferred.
