Inova Staffing is looking to fill a 1st shift direct hire electronics test engineer position in Westlake, OH.As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic components and assemblies. Your responsibilities will include confirming test capabilities for new inquiries, developing test plans, maintaining test instruments, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

- Assess customer requirements and lab standards to provide accurate quotations.
- Develop comprehensive test plans for electronic/electrical components and assemblies.
- Prepare and set up test fixtures according to established test plans.
- Procure necessary components and materials for test fixtures and equipment preparation.
- Develop test platforms for various product families.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and techniques through seminars and training sessions.
- Generate detailed test reports within specified lead times.
- Provide support for inquiries and customer complaints related to testing.
- Manage and maintain inventory of equipment, fixtures, test accessories, and spare parts.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.
- Maintain environmental conditions for laboratory testing (e.g., ESD, humidity, temperature, EMI, radiation).
- Manage and control documents and software related to testing.
- Approve newly purchased equipment, facility installations, materials, and test methods in compliance with company standards.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate Test Technicians.
- Conduct training sessions for operators, company personnel, and customers as needed.
- Communicate with equipment and service suppliers, providers, and contractors for training, warranty claims, repairs, replacements, rentals, and support.
- Update or create procedures, work instructions, training guides, forms, and related documents in accordance with company quality standards.
- Initiate and participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement safety controls to ensure personnel safety during testing and in hazardous areas.
- Adhere to company quality standards and policies.
- Perform any other duties as required by the General Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in electronics component or assembly testing.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, symbols, and practical applications.
- Proficiency in English (Level 4 or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Willingness to run errands and attend off-site training sessions.
