Location: Charleston, SC (Goose Creek area)
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician to join our team, working on a DuPont schedule that offers rotating shifts, with 14-15 days off per month, including 7 consecutive days off. This role includes paid overtime at time and a half. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair low/medium voltage (<600VAC) motor control systems for plant equipment.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on Siemens and Rockwell motor drive systems.
- Diagnose and repair issues using PLC interface for equipment diagnostics.
- Support the installation, start-up, and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Maintain thorough records of equipment maintenance activities.
- Contribute to the development and review of operational and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology, military-equivalent training, or a high school diploma with 3+ years of experience in electronic maintenance.
- Capability to perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Experience working with electrical and mechanical machinery in a hot environment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E / NEC safety standards.
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with automation, instrumentation, and repairs.
- Knowledge of PLC logic, industrial automation, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical equipment and instrumentation.
- Capability to safely operate a forklift and aerial lift.
