Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Role Purpose
Lead maintenance efforts for respective operations with a focus on reliability, improvement, and reduced equipment downtime.
Core Accountabilities
Provide leadership and management, establishing and meeting short- and long-term goals.
Obtain the highest level of equipment utilization, yield and productivity by minimizing production downtime through proper planning and scheduling of work.
Apply appropriate maintenance/reliability tools to drive improvements and optimize costs.
Work with union leads to solve problems in a timely manner, utilizing internal and external expertise.
Implement maintenance and safety procedures to ensure production of high-quality products within a safe work environment.
Follow a collective bargaining agreement while maintaining flexibility and efficiency of operations.
Provide electrical expertise for operations, failures, delays and special projects.
Prepare and manage department budgets and project costs with a focus on cost effectiveness.
Manage the use of contractors for supplemental maintenance activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
Request and develop capital projects which support the operations and maintenance plan.
Follow procedures to prevent hazardous conditions to person, place, or environment.
Competencies and Qualifications
Minimum of A.S. degree from accredited college or technical school or minimum of 8 years of electrical experience or combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of leadership, teambuilding and electrical experience.
High electrical experience a plus.
Effective verbal and written communications skills.Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and work within a team structure to support company objectives and maintain/build positive working relationships.
Strong mathematical aptitude with an ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations and determine test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, use correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to manage conflict, coach and mentor others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
Experience with Kronos preferred.
Experience with maintenance programming, i.e. INFOR, preferred.
