About the Job
Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to join our team in Palatka, FL. This individual plays a crucial role in helping to maintain the facility's electrical reliability through design and execution of effective programs and strategies to manage risk and mitigate the consequences of failures.
Our Team
Georgia Pacific's Palatka Mill is located just south of Jacksonville and west of St. Augustine, FL, the Palatka mill employs about 950 people has six paper machines as well as several converting lines and produces consumer tissue products such as bath tissue and paper towels sold under the Georgia-Pacific brand names of Angel Soft®, Quilted Northern®, Brawny®, and Sparkle®.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities:
- : Perform preventive maintenance on gas analyzers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- : Oversee contracts and contractors working on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- : Manage and maintain preventive maintenance for VFDs across the mill, focusing on critical equipment.
- : Continuously enhance skills by staying current with emerging technology, obtaining relevant certifications, and pursuing ongoing education.
- : Manage the OM-19 for the mill, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
- : Stay aware of ongoing issues with VFDs and develop plans for resolution.
- : Assist with PM-15 tasks as needed.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Minimum of five (5) years in the electrical field within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Knowledge of electric motors and motor controls and electrical protection schemes
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Antonix (Asst360), and Outlook.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Beamex systems.
- Supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Equipment Asset Strategies.
- Expertise in Electrical Precision Maintenance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
