This is a permanent position that offers a unique chance to work on diverse projects, ranging from small-scale residential to large-scale commercial projects. We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our fast-paced Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, project management, budgeting, and construction management. If you are a passionate individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a knack for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, this might be the role for you!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical construction projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to create effective and efficient project plans.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage and mitigate project risks, and ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and team members to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or similar role in the Engineering industry.
- Proficient knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD.
- Advanced project management and team leadership abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and solve issues.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
