We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Electrical Project Manager to join our team in the civil construction industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various electrical installation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with instrumentation and controls as well as SCADA systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Coordinate and supervise the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems and equipment, including controls and instrumentation.
3. Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and ensure that resources are allocated appropriately.
4. Liaise with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.
5. Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, and implement corrective actions as needed.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with industry best practices and company policies.
8. Keep abreast of the latest developments in electrical engineering and construction technology, and implement new and innovative approaches to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on installation, controls, and instrumentation.
2. Proven experience in managing large-scale electrical projects.
3. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
5. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including SCADA systems.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
8. A commitment to safety and quality, with a thorough understanding of relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
9. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
10. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed regionally to oversee project sites.
