Position Overview
As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will oversee the early stages of construction projects, ensuring thorough planning and seamless execution. From cost estimation to project scheduling, this role is pivotal in aligning client needs with company objectives. You’ll lead pre-construction activities, mentor your team, and work collaboratively with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive project plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Exemplify and promote the company's core values.
- Guide and mentor the estimating team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Estimating Services:
- Lead pre-construction efforts, including sales, design, and bidding.
- Produce accurate takeoffs and project estimates.
- Manage subcontractor qualification, bid solicitation, and scope reviews.
- Achieve and monitor revenue backlog targets.
Pre-Construction Planning:
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and buy-out strategies.
- Conduct pre-construction RFIs and analyze project documents.
- Ensure compliance with budgets and contracts.
Project Coordination:
- Align project objectives with company policies.
- Communicate project status to teams and clients.
- Prepare invoices, contracts, and change orders.
Special Projects:
- Take on additional responsibilities to achieve corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with upper management on special initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training (4+ years of experience may substitute).
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Engineer, or in Pre-Construction.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Strong communication and team management abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of construction codes, standards, and engineering technology.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise.
Preferred:
- Experience with McCormick estimating software, CAD, Bluebeam, and Foundation construction software.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. $145,000.00 to $165,000.00
