Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure electrical designs comply with national, regional, and industry codes and safety standards.
- Analyze available power systems, recommend optimal designs, and provide input for proposals.
- Create and maintain power system models using industry-standard tools.
- Design MV substations and power distribution systems.
- Conduct Short Circuit and Arc Flash Analysis.
- Collaborate with customers, authorities, and vendors on electrical issues.
- Write technical specifications for procurement and evaluate equipment bids.
- Review and approve drawing submittals and relay settings.
- Interface with control and SCADA system engineers.
- Develop cable schedules and inspect electrical equipment during commissioning.
- Create and maintain electrical single-line diagrams.
- Generate detailed drawings for wiring and control schematics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues throughout project lifecycles.
- Coordinate with utility companies as needed.
- Support commissioning, startup, and operator training.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of electrical power system engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and industry codes.
- Experience with power system modeling and CAD tools.
- EIT or PE certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Up to 20% travel required, with extended on-site stays during project phases.
