Summary
Per Sé Group is hiring Electrical Physical Designers for a long-term contract. Our client’s project teams support industry-leading projects in power generation, plant design, environmental compliance, mid/downstream oil & gas, and multi-disciplined industrial projects. They are leading efforts to decarbonize the industry by utilizing advanced technologies in renewable energy, carbon capture, and hydrogen power, performing detailed engineering services for photovoltaic (PV) solar projects and the integration of solar and energy storage. You will gain invaluable experience working with the industry leader in carbon capture technologies, helping to provide engineering services for green hydrogen production via electrolysis using solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear power sources and supporting on-site usage in power generation, fuel cells, and fueling stations.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. You'll spend three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

Responsibilities
- This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your drafting skills, while working in a multi-disciplined team environment with other designers and/or engineers in the preparation of design drawings based on design input
- You will have the opportunity to apply your computer-aided drafting skills, while receiving hands-on training in 3D design software environments, such as AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation.
- You will be involved in creating drawings to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions
- You may accompany and assist experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for your design project
- While interfacing with vendors and construction contractors, you may be given the opportunity to explain your drawings so appropriate design adjustments can be made
Desired Skills and Experience
- An associate’s degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
- Six (6) or more years of physical design experience including experience in the development of grounding layouts, underground duct bank and embedded conduit drawings, cable tray and exposed conduit layouts, and electrical equipment location drawings.
- Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation)
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer
- Ability to multi-task from project to project
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans, drawings, and models
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design
