We are currently hiring for teammates in our Maintenance Department, located in Madison, Wisconsin.
JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing all types of electrical systems and equipment, as well as supervising and training maintenance electricians on the job as required. Qualified candidates need to be able to work independently, have thorough knowledge of current National Electrical Code, read blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair moderate to complex equipment problems, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical issues
- Knowledgeable in the use of multi-meters, hand tools, and computers and strong ability to troubleshoot many various types of electronic systems, install new equipment and make repairs
- Electrical work on installation of new services, trouble shooting, grounding and repairs
- Understanding of PLC and Machine Control Systems
- Read blueprints, understand plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Follow plant preventative maintenance procedures
- Follow and participate in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment
- Assess and repair equipment as problems arise for the machines and the building
- Attend and participate in maintenance department, plant and safety meetings
- Assist in capital improvement projects
- Make repairs in a timely manner, while working under pressure
- Assist other departments with improvement projects
- Is capable of data entry and some analysis of Maintenance Management System
- Complete required forms legibly
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years work related experience in Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical fields
- Strong electrical background with emphasis around controls
- Experience with handling of ESD sensitive items
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing environment
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
