Electrical Maintenance Technician - SUN - ICP Group

Under the Plant Manager's guidance, provide maintenance support for mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal plant efficiency. Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety guidelines while maintaining a clean maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all OSHA safety requirements for maintenance operations.
• Complete required OSHA or corporate training before performing tasks.
• Wear appropriate PPE for each task.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance under the Maintenance Manager's direction.
• Install or repair pumps, motors, conveyors, and other production equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide repair solutions.
• Conduct basic electrical tasks, including wiring motors and control panels.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
• Ensure all safety documentation is completed before work.
• Communicate effectively with production staff and management.
• Coordinate and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
• Meet safety targets set by management.

Experience and Skills Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with air pumps, PD pumps, pneumatic valves, and gearboxes.
• Ability to install and wire 100 hp electric motors and VFDs.
• Strong problem-solving skills for mechanical equipment.
• Operate forklifts and similar equipment.
• Order parts and manage paperwork.
• Attend safety meetings and conduct audits.
• Computer proficiency.
• Welding certifications and strong pipe fitting skills.
• Read technical documents effectively.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Background in asphalt-related products or equipment.
• Advanced education in engineering or technical fields.
• Understanding of boiler or hot oil systems.

Working Conditions

• Must have 20/20 or corrected vision.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Full range of motion for various physical tasks.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs safely.
• Comfortable working at heights over 40 feet.
• Work in varying temperature conditions.
