About the Job
Responsibilities
- As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems including motors, controls, power supplies, AC / DC theory, power distribution, PLC's, hydraulics / pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission, pumps, cranes, mobile equipment, etc
- In order to become successful, you’ll have to quickly learn our manufacturing equipment / systems, and our maintenance program
- A successful Electrical Maintenance Technician is a problem-solver and is strong with troubleshooting and determining corrective action, installing, repairing and maintaining a wide variety of electrical and electronic systems
- Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment is operating in a safe manner
- Perform preventative, predictive and emergency electrical maintenance on a variety of electrical and electronic systems
- Implement process improvements and methods that will increase effectiveness and efficiencies
- Use of standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to properly assess and troubleshoot issues
- Interpret electrical schematics, understanding technical manuals, and following written instructions
- Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, start up and installation
- Participate in daily meetings, prioritizing and reviewing the daily schedule of work
- Operate for trucks, man lifts, cranes, etc
- As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be required to work in a variety of plant areas / departments, environmental conditions (hot, cold, dirty, etc
- and perform work at various heights and within some confined spaces
- Based on the need, overtime may be available including other shifts and weekends
- As part of pre-employment, an electrical maintenance skills assessment will be conducted
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least three years of experience performing electrical system and machine maintenance in a manufacturing and industrial environment OR Associates Degree in an electrical related curriculum
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Strong communication skill with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated, highly organized and able to multi-task
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
