Electrical Maintenance Technician - Insight Global

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support a large steel manufacturing client out of Lexington, NC. This candidate will be joining either the Melt Shop or the Rolling Mill teams but must be comfortable joining either team.

The Lexington plant is being stood up and is expected to open in Q1 of 2025. Prior to the plant opening, the Electrical Maintenance Technician team will be working on-site to learn and understand all of the maintenance for the state-of-the-art equipment being installed. Once the plant opens, the day-to-day duties will include troubleshooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, aggressively pursuing process improvement, assisting with documentation and training for all equipment, and other duties as assigned.

Before plant openings: Day Shift 6:30 am - 4:30/5 pm

Post-plant opening shifts:

Rotating Shifts: 4 on 4 off

• 4 days on
• 12-hours shifts
• 4 days off
• 4 nights on
• 12-hour shifts
• 4 days off

Required Skills and Experience

• 4 years of experience working in industrial electrical maintenance
• Demonstrated understanding of - Power concepts - motor controls - Variable frequency drives (VFDs) - Experience with PLCs (Siemens) - Understanding of Robotics and Automation
• Associate degree in electrical or related field

• Electrician Mate (Nuclear Trained)
• ETN – Electrical Technician (Nuclear Trained)
• MMN – Machinist Mate (Nuclear Trained)

Compensation:

$97,000 to $120,000 per year annual salary.
