Electrical Maintenance Technician - Full Time, 4th Shift: 8:00pm - 6:30am Thursday - Sunday - Pays $28 - $32, depending on experience and shift hrs. Reports to The Plant Reliability Manager.

We have 4 multiple shifts, AWS (Alternative Work Schedules) 4 days 10 hours.

Job Description: Responsible for handling routine maintenance and repairs on plant facilities and equipment. The technician performs tasks in accordance with the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, rules, and regulations set forth by the company.
- Must follow Plant and Personal Safety Programs and Safe Work Practices. Individuals will not take unnecessary risks to complete job assignments. Ensure safe work and operation of equipment is performed properly.
- Follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality and Food safety guidelines and EMT/SOPs set forth by the company.
- Be the example of safety, quality, and positive attitude. Conducting self professionally with coworkers and management.
- Interface with plant engineers and management on shutdowns and special projects.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures that may be given by management.
- Other items that may be assigned by management.
- Maintain the electrical and instrument components/equipment, plant power supplies and distributions and parts supplies for the following equipment:
- Maintain spare parts required.
- Prepare and implement Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
- Prepare and implement Predictive Maintenance Schedule.
- Plan, procure & implement in-plant modifications & developments.
- Manage electrical/Instruments contract crews.
- Desired hands-on working experience on Field Instruments, PLCs, DCS, Pneumatic system, conveying system, compressors, heat exchangers, underwater strand granulators, agitator’s chillers, fuel fired furnace heaters, motors, and process equipment.
- Ability to understand electrical drawings.
- Must follow Plant and Personal Safety Programs and safe work practices.
- Must be able to support a twenty-four seven plant operation.
- Must be able to read electrical drawings and revise.
- Other jobs as assigned by management.
Qualification/Education:
- A.A. Electrical/Instrument Engineering Technology (2yr college degree) or work experience.
- A minimum of Two (4) years’ experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment as an Electrical & Instrument Technician; Chemical Manufacturing is preferred. HVAC certification a plus.
- Computer knowledge, Excel, Word, SAP proficiency preferred.
Requirements:
- Understanding paperwork procedures and documentation requirements.
- Ability to lift to 40 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
- Ability to spend up to 10 hours a shift on foot around hot machinery (continental).
- The ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and /or bending under objects, pushing, and pulling objects.
