About the Job
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to enhance electrical reliability and maintenance within our manufacturing facility. This role focuses on the maintenance and swap-outs of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Motor Drives, and PLCs/DCS systems, as well as power distribution across high, medium, and low voltage systems. A proactive approach to managing projects and collaborating with various teams is essential to achieve performance goals while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Safety Management: Uphold rigorous safety standards in all internal and external work to ensure an incident-free environment. Assess and mitigate potential hazards in project installations and operational procedures.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee certification and approvals for professional and contractor work.
· Project and Maintenance Leadership: Manage maintenance activities, particularly focused on VFDs, Motor Drives, and PLCs/DCS systems. Lead initiatives that prioritize safety, compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness while striving to meet key performance indicators and financial targets.
· Team and Budget Management: Guide and develop maintenance teams, contribute to budgeting efforts, and monitor expenditures. Collaborate with the Purchasing department to optimize repair costs and effectively manage projects to achieve financial objectives.
· Continuous Improvement: Foster environmental stewardship and enhance machinery knowledge, contributing to team development through technical training and succession planning.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
· Experience: 3-5 years in maintenance and engineering roles, with a focus on electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. Experience with high, medium, and low voltage systems is essential.
· Skills: Proficient in electrical power and control reliability, particularly in managing VFDs, Motor Drives, and PLCs/DCS systems. Capable of managing multiple priorities and skilled in leading teams effectively. Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
· Attributes: Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Ability to handle challenging deadlines and collaborate with various stakeholders.
