JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential electrical work, with a focus on installing and troubleshooting electrical systems in new single-family homes, multi-family projects, and light commercial. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in new construction projects.
- Perform electrical rough-ins and trim-outs in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and company standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans to determine the layout and placement of wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
- Collaborate with contractors, builders, and project managers to coordinate electrical work and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify and resolve issues or malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the job site.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and hours worked on each project.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to provide updates, discuss project requirements, and address any concerns or questions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential electrical work, preferably in new construction.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
