JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Installer is responsible for the repetitive installation operations such as; wire harness installation, cable installation, control module installation, wire and connector crimping, and wire identification. The Electrical Installer supports mass-installation in products such as galleys, closets, VCC’s, overhead bins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, etc. for commercial transport aircraft. They must be able to work within the time constraints of the master production schedule and meet requirements dictated by the customer. In addition, the Electrical Installer must be able to work in confined environments such as closets, galleys and foot-wells.
*This position is for 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am) and includes a 15% shift differential on top of the base pay.

- Promote cooperation and positive communication with coworkers and leads on production lines. Required to use and read blueprints, wiring diagrams and verbal and written work instructions to install electrical or rework components
- Understand production schedule and ensure work is completed on time to meet company objectives & customer demands
- Maintain safe and effective use of all machine and hand tools while installing electrical components.
- Understand the requirements of using calibrated tools when specified
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and minimize waste of materials
- Ensure materials being used are specific to approved work orders, engineering drawings and specifications
- Avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, that is not consistent with engineering specifications, drawings and/or appropriate codes
- Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads and applying terminal caps. Connect wiring to electrical fixtures and equipment
- Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels. Report any defect to quality assurance and manufacturing engineers
- Exhibit all effort required to ensure first time quality
- Prepare and organize tools and materials for use during installation. Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment
- Place parts in specified relationship to each other
- Prepare and organize tools and parts for use during installation. Perform acceptance test procedures (ATP) as required
- Work on different production lines as production needs require. Tasks vary as different units’ complete certain phases of production. Perform other duties as assigned
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent years of relative experience or proven mechanical aptitude may be considered in lieu of a diploma or GED
- Associate Degree, Trade or Technical School (Certificate or Diploma) is preferred
Experience:
- 1 - 3+ years’ experience
Other:
- Must be able to work the scheduled second shift from 3:30pm - 12:00pm PST
- Extended or irregular hours may be required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS
Adient Aerospace offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
Hourly Rate Transparency: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour with an additional 15% shift differential pay offered for working 2nd shift
