We are seeking a reliable and skilled Electrical Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist experienced electricians with electrical work on industrial projects. The role involves working under the supervision of a licensed electrician, performing tasks that require attention to detail, and adhering to safety standards.
Duties:
- Assist licensed electricians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Use hand tools, including pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches, to perform various tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to identify electrical systems and components.
- Assist with the installation of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems, including wiring and circuitry.
- Conduct tests using a multimeter, voltmeter, and ohmmeter to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
- Support industrial electricians with the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Learn and apply frame carpentry skills to support electrical installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in the electrical industry, preferably as an apprentice or helper.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory and circuitry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Skills:
- Industrial Electric experience preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools
- Ability to read schematics
- Experience with industrial electrician work
- Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
- Knowledge of electrical testing equipment
- Frame carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints
