Primis Electric, a fast growing company in the electrical service industry, is hiring an Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate project cost estimates and bids for electrical installations and services. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to interpret drawings, and calculate costs for materials, labor, and time.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers for project details.
• Research suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and quality.
• Maintain a database of costs for labor, materials, and overhead.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for bids and proposals.
• Update estimates based on project changes.

Requirements

Requirements

• Experience as an electrical estimator in construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installations and the NEC (license not a requirement)
• Proficiency with estimating software (We use Accubid now).
• Proficiency with Excel
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
