We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our thriving team. This role is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and/or coordinating complete estimates for assigned projects, including analyzing specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects, including material and labor costs.
2. Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Manage bid pricing from all vendors and select and evaluate subcontractor proposals.
4. Perform risk analysis by identifying potential issues and providing appropriate solutions.
5. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
6. Review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
7. Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients.
8. Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates.
9. Keep track of the latest trends and advancements in the field of electrical engineering and construction.
10. Monitor and close out project costs against original estimates.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry.
2. Proficient in commercial, electrical, and electric work.
3. Strong understanding of electrical concepts and estimation techniques.
4. Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office and estimation software.
5. Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
8. Strong understanding of the construction industry and the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
