Electrical Engineer III

AECOM is hiring an electrical engineer based in Baltimore, Maryland. 

• Establishes understanding and ensures correct implementation of the contractor’s processes and procedures for deploying Train Control solutions. Solid State Interlocking and CBTC experience preferred.
• Ensures contractor adheres to contractual requirements.
• Reviews ATC requirements, designs, test procedures and test results and provides comments relative to Contract requirements, Industry standards, and industry best practices.
• Reviews analysis, corrections, and reviews defect reports supplied by the contractor.
• Prepares reports, giving findings on problems. Documents test results as witnessed, providing comments on issues identified or corrections applied during testing.
• Witnessing and evaluating engineering testing in the field and investigates problems in the field.
• Provides leadership and motivation to other team members. Acts as a mentor to assigned staff on the team.
• Keep abreast of new technology developments and helps to evaluate new products and processes to improve current software development as delivered by the contractor. •
• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

Minimum:

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 4 years of electrical systems engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred:

• Light rail electrical systems design
• MTA project experience
