Responsibilities:
- Perform key power electronics component analysis and evaluation, such as power semiconductor, magnetics, capacitors, and etc Perform Print Circuit Board (PCB) root cause analysis and provide recommendations
- Perform system level electrical performance evaluation and provide root cause analysis The power electronics engineer will be working under lead power electronics engineer and be responsible for Perform key power electronics component analysis and evaluation, such as power semiconductor, magnetics, capacitors, and etc Perform Print Circuit Board (PCB) root cause analysis and provide recommendations Perform system level electrical performance evaluation and provide root cause analysis Characterize power semiconductor devices for power semiconductors Execute and perform PCBA and/or system level UL/CE agency compliance analysis and test Support manufacture engineer operate end of line equipment for EV charging product – may require few weeks travel during the contractor period
Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in power electronics preferred, 3 year + experience preferred Experience designing and evaluating of high voltage PCB boards Experience in designing / testing of high voltage power converters preferred Understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes, and their characteristics Experience of EMI/EMC designing, testing and optimization design for power electronics products
- Skilled working in lab environment with high voltage and current Experience of product certification with UL/CE standards in for power electronics products Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
- PCBA board design and root cause analysis
