Responsibilities:What You'll Contribute Day-to-Day:
- Working with a highly skilled team of engineers, design and develop innovative power electronic systems and circuits for the single-phase Uninterruptable Power Supply and Energy Management markets
- Contribute to the definition of the product specification and system architecture
- Verify designs using simulation tools, real time testing and validation of circuits and system operation
- Work with Manufacturing and Industrialization teams to prepare designs for manufacturing
- Design DC-DC power converters for a high reliability market
- Work with a team of design engineers to test and prove compliance for new designs
- Design fixtures and test circuits to accurately simulate military specifications
- Keep abreast of state-of-the-art technologies and perform competitive bench marking
- Provide technical support for production issues, failure analysis and problem resolution
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Ability to analyze and test power electronic circuits
- Familiarity with lab equipment, including oscilloscope, function generator, frequency response analyzer, EMI test receiver
- Lab experience in power electronics
- Experience with designing and testing complex power supply circuity - PFC, Inverters, Battery Chargers, Power Supplies, Control Circuits
- Experience performing design verification testing of complex power supply circuits and systems
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design
- Knowledge of product compliance and testing - EMI/EMC, Product Safety and Environmental Standards
- Familiarity with firmware and digital control - DSP, FPGA
- Solid knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical components - FET, IGBT, diodes, transformers, inductors, relays and passive devices
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electronic circuits to the component level
- Proficient with simulation tools - i.e. PSpice, MathCAD, MATLAB etc
- Working knowledge of PCB design tools and experience with PCB layout for power circuits
- Highly motivated, self-starter with strong personal integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Knowledge and use of wide band gap devices (SiC, GaN)
