Electrical Engineer at Confidential company
About the Job
Work Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid)
Job Type: 3-6 Months contract (potential to extend)
Job Description:
- Electrical/Electronics Engineering encompasses the planning, design, development, testing, installation and co-ordination of related activities involving electrical/electronic components and systems.
- Follow specific instructions of supervisor or senior engineers to perform the less complex professional assignments requiring application of standard engineering principles and practices.
- Use computers and selected programs for such matters as preparing reports and conducting analyses.
- Specific focus will be on electrical harness design and Windchill BOM updates for harness.
Experience/Skills Required:
- AutoCAD experience
- Electrical one-line schematic knowledge and electrical harness routing experience
- PLM or equivalent engineering revision control management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day responsibilities will be focused on creating individual electrical harness parts to add to harness sub-assembly kits.
- Most of harness sub-assembly kits already contain a cut-list, so those cut-lists can be used as a guide of sorts to create the requisite individual parts and add to the sub-assembly BOM.
- This is a rather large effort by itself; however there will be additional opportunities to develop new harness routings for sub-assemblies for which no cut-list currently exists or for custom order opportunities.
