Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Project Manager to join our team in our Atlanta Midtown office!
Responsibilities
+ Lead complex design of electrical systems for sites/facilities such as transportation, power delivery, or energy (solar, BESS, microgrid, EV infrastructure, etc.) projects
+ Preparation of project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and marketing proposals
+ Lead a team of qualified staff while mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our electrical engineering practice into new markets and clients
+ Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams
+ Responsible for the development of reports and design documents
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
+ At least 8 years of relatable experience in an Electrical Engineering role
+ Licensed EE in the state of GA (or ability to obtain within a year of employment)
+ Experience managing and mentoring younger staff
+ Interest and experience engaging directly with clients, having a growth mindset to build business
+ Experience with marketing and business development activities
+ Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes
+ Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)
+ Experience in Power Studies, such as System Impact Studies, Short Circuit Analysis, Coordination/Protection, or Arc Flash Analysis preferred.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
