Rate Range: $40 - $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and oversee the planning, design, development, and execution of projects involving electrical and electronic components and systems. Under general guidance, you will apply engineering principles to a variety of challenging projects while pursuing initiatives to improve group effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
As a Project Lead, you will take responsibility for the execution of complex and large-scale projects, ensuring contract compliance, customer satisfaction, and financial success. You will coordinate activities, provide technical expertise, and develop solutions that align with both customer needs and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop project requirements, objectives, and schedules.
- Plan and coordinate technical deliverables to achieve customer and company goals.
- Engineering Design & Documentation:
- Create detailed engineering documentation such as Single Line Diagrams, Power System Studies (e.g., Arc Flash, Load Flow, Short Circuit), Network Diagrams, Protective Device Settings, and Substation Layouts.
- Perform electrical system integration using IEC 61850 and other industrial communication protocols.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain close communication with customers and stakeholders to address issues and identify new opportunities.
- Ensure timely project completion, customer satisfaction, and compliance with financial objectives.
- Risk Management & Strategy Development:
- Proactively manage project risks to avoid penalties, warranty repairs, or financial losses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance performance and achieve business goals.
Complexity of Tasks:
The role requires strong technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to:
- Evaluate and resolve complex technical and financial challenges.
- Cost-effectively manage multiple, fast-paced projects.
- Negotiate and collaborate with customers and suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 8+ years of detailed design experience in:
- HV/MV/LV switchgear, motor controls, VFDs, transformers, and electrical SCADA systems.
- Experience in programming PLCs, protective relays, and other industrial automation devices is highly preferred.
