Job Description

General Job Description

• Engineer and design microprocessor-based, mixed signal circuit boards for integration into company products
• Write C language embedded software to control the company actuators and interface with external systems
• Build and test prototype circuits.  Guide designers and technicians on prototype building
• Write product documentation including user instructions, project logs, test reports, and design evaluations
• Assist Manufacturing with product commercialization, bills of materials, documentation and test fixtures
• Provide engineering support for existing products

Experience Requirements

Requirements/Helpful Skills

• 10+ years of experience with electro-mechanical applications
• Solid theoretical background
• Experience in the following areas:
  • Circuit board design, schematic generation and PCB layout tools (Orcad/Altium)
  • Open/Closed loop servo mechanisms, motor design, and inverter development
  • Power supply development
  • Industrial process control

• Ability to multi-task and a desire to work in a “hands-on” environment
• Proven communication skills and professional qualities such as initiative and organization
• Effectiveness in team product development as well as performing assignments individually

Educational Requirements

B.S. Electrical Engineering or B.S. Electrical Engineering Technology

Physical Requirements

• Office environment requiring ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Predictable and reliable attendance is required
• Position requires 40 hours/5 days a week
