We at Global Life Science Hub are recruiting on behalf of a prominent pharmaceutical company for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician. This full-time role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in electrical systems, particularly within a cGMP environment.
Position Summary:
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting all electrical systems within the facility. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of pharmaceutical process equipment and control systems. This role requires quick response to emergency calls, coordination with vendors, and meticulous documentation to comply with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and support for all electrical systems and related tasks.
- Perform preventive maintenance on pharmaceutical process equipment and instruments.
- Carry out minor modifications to equipment, including the installation and qualification of change parts.
- Demonstrate expertise in PLCs and control systems for equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdowns to minimize production delays.
- Collaborate with the operations department to enhance machine and process efficiency.
- Adhere to company SOPs and work effectively within a team.
- Assist the engineering team with various projects.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained in compliance with company policies and cGMP requirements.
- Manage and maintain inventory for electrical supplies.
- Engage with vendors to identify and procure necessary parts.
- Follow all safety regulations as per OSHA and other relevant agencies.
- Support the facility team in maintaining equipment.
- Assist the validation team in conducting facility and equipment validations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; a diploma in an electrical or mechanical field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in a cGMP environment, focusing on process equipment and facility troubleshooting.
- An electrical license in New Jersey is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

- Flexibility in working hours is essential.
- Some travel may be required.
