Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our close-knit team. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our customer's electrical systems under the direction of the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include electrical design, power system analysis, project management, and providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arc Flash Analysis: Perform and/or provide oversight for short circuit calculations, medium and low-voltage coordination evaluations to optimize protective relay and breaker settings, and arc flash studies in compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other industry standards. Perform on-site data collection activities, as needed
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare engineering documents (e.g., drawings, sketches, instructions, inputs, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to industry codes, standards, and regulations to support client engineering needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience with power system studies using electrical modeling software (SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power, etc.)
- Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems and data centers (NFPA 70 & 70E, and IEEE 1584)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel 10%-20%; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience with power system studies.
- Hands-on experience using electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power).
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and criteria (e.g., NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584).
- Proficiency in performing arc flash studies, short circuit calculations, and medium/low-voltage coordination evaluations.
- Strong ability to prepare engineering documents (e.g., drawings, calculations, evaluations).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Willingness to travel 10%-20%, with potential trips lasting a few days to a few weeks.

- Salary Range:
- Compensation is competitive and based on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
- Pay Range: USD $75,000 - $110,000 per year.
