About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and review electrical systems for nuclear power plants, including power generation, control systems, instrumentation, and emergency power systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and regulatory bodies to develop and refine electrical designs that meet plant operational and safety requirements.
Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory standards, including NRC regulations, IEEE standards, and other relevant codes.
Perform detailed calculations and analysis to design electrical systems, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and optimized for plant operations.
Develop electrical single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and control wiring diagrams for nuclear plant systems.
Lead the selection and specification of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and instrumentation.
Conduct thorough evaluations and testing of electrical components and systems to verify compliance with design specifications and operational performance.
Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and maintenance phases of nuclear power plant projects.
Perform failure analysis and troubleshooting to address electrical system issues and minimize plant downtime.
Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes related to nuclear power plant electrical design.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including design reports, technical specifications, and test plans.
Pay Details: $140,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
