You will:

• Assist the other Senior Engineers with leadership duties of the Electrical Department
• Represent the firm in all interactions with clients, architects, contractors and other project consultants
• Manage the technical and financial aspects of both large and small projects
• Prepare proposals and administering project contracts with the client
• Perform electrical calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation construction administration
• Establish electrical design standards and preparing specifications and design criteria for projects
• Mentor our junior electrical engineers and acting as a technical resource
• Prepare due diligence reports and feasibility studies addressing building electrical systems
• Prepare technical presentations and participating in business development activities
• Participate in Quality Control sessions critiquing work completed by the electrical staff

You have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an electrical engineer for a consulting firm in the design of power distribution, lighting, lighting controls and fire alarm systems in the commercial tenant and office building industry
• Thorough familiarity and understanding of electrical service, distribution fit-out for high-rise commercial office buildings in the NYC market
• Experience in collaborating with clients and their representatives related to pre-lease services
• Working knowledge of life-safety and standby power systems including UPS and Generators
• Understanding of LEED and NYCECC compliant lighting controls
• Thorough understanding of the National Electric Code, NYC Electrical Code NYC Energy Conservation Code
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset
• Thorough Understanding of Lighting Control Systems (a plus)
• LEED Accreditation (a plus)
