Electrical Engineer (Mid-Level)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, construction, and cost estimation for large-scale projects such as schools, prisons, utilities, and other commercial facilities. This role involves evaluating damaged public facilities, recommending repair methods, and estimating costs in alignment with FEMA and other regulatory guidelines.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience and professional registration OR Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of related experience
- Extensive experience in interior building wiring and electrical system design.
- Proven expertise in the design and construction of electrical systems for schools, prisons, utilities, and other large facilities.
- In-depth knowledge of PA eligibility, laws, regulations, and policies.
- Experience developing cost estimates and preparing Cost Estimating Formats (CEF) for large projects.
- Familiarity with cost estimation tools such as RS Means, FEMA’s Cost Estimating Format, and other relevant tools and codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify eligible project scopes and estimate associated costs.
- Evaluate damaged public facilities and infrastructure, recommending repair/replacement methods based on FEMA laws and eligibility policies.
- Develop repair or replacement cost estimates using industry standards and specialized software like FEMA’s Cost Estimating Format.
- Coordinate and prepare for site inspections, ensuring logistics are managed and all necessary tools and information are available.
- Conduct site inspections, document damages, and discuss repair strategies with applicants.
- Complete and upload Site Inspection Reports (SIR), including photographs and detailed descriptions.
- Enter and review SIR and Damage Description and Dimensions (DDD) data in Grants Manager, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with Program Delivery Managers (PDMG) for project updates and debriefing.
- For senior specialists: Oversee mid-level specialists and manage complex projects.

Salary
95,000 - 103,000 /year
