Key Responsibilities:
- Develop in-process test procedures and data sheets for PCA testing, module testing, and top-level system testing.
- Design and create system interface test fixtures.
- Review customer performance specifications and documentation, ensuring compliance with parts/material/process program requirements and system test standards (thermal cycling, vacuum, vibration, shock, EMI testing, etc.).
- Generate critical engineering documentation, including failure reports, discrepant material reports (DMR), recovery test plans, engineering change notices, end-item data packages, and manage data for internal review.
- Provide test support for engineers, technicians, and engineering associates, managing tools for RF/Microwave assemblies, program-specific test equipment, and equipment rental or purchase.
- Understand and contribute to system designs, including:
- Passive designs: power dividers, filters, crystal filters.
- Active designs: oscillators, amplifiers, multipliers, phase-locked loops, mixers.
- Temperature compensation with thermistors (PTC/NTC).
- Demonstrate familiarity with EEE parts selection, including characterization, evaluation, screening, traceability, and derating requirements for space applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of testing protocols for RF/Microwave assemblies and system interfaces.
- Experience with space-grade EEE parts and radiation considerations is a plus.
