Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical devices and equipment, including communications systems, power generators, motors and navigation systems, and electrical systems for automobiles and aircraft.
- Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering team members to ensure projects are completed to specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Conduct research to test and analyze the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems.
- Innovate and implement cost-reduction initiatives in all aspects of electrical design and construction projects.
- Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
- Prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with the project budget and timelines.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical engineering or in a related area.
- Familiarity with design, analysis, and construction of electrical systems and components.
- Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes and electrical engineering codes and standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent project management and supervision skills.
- Proficiency in using design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar.
