Position Overview

STI-TEC is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your electrical engineering skills to real-world projects within the GovCon sector, particularly in Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E). You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment dedicated to supporting mission systems and the warfighter.

Essential Job Function

Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems and components for defense applications.
Support the development and implementation of circuit designs and schematics.
Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct experiments, gather data, and analyze results.
Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and support project documentation.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies in electrical engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with circuit design software (e.g., Altium, LTSpice) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
A genuine interest in electrical systems and a commitment to supporting national defense initiatives.
U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

Experience with embedded systems, control systems, or power electronics.
Understanding of electrical engineering principles and industry standards.
Interest in government contracting and defense-related projects.
