You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
+ Work independently, identify, document and maintain requirements of embedded electronics hardware and firmware and/or electromechanical assemblies for low- to mid-complexity projects.
+ Support the definition of electronic/electromechanical system and sub-system requirements and architectures, including driving trade-offs between product marketing, engineering, and other stakeholders.
+ Create and maintain systems collateral, including block diagrams, definition of hardware/firmware interfaces, configuration management, risk assessments, etc.
+ Support the development, integration and refinement of tools and processes used in the execution of system engineering practices within an agile, high-velocity product development environment.
+ Collaborate on the development and execution of system verification and validation strategies.
+ Provide candid and effective communications up, down and across the organization on progress, barrier removal, and escalation of business risks/opportunities.
+ Demonstrate Milwaukee Tool’s culture of high performance and agility by independently creating Work Breakdown Structures for your work and driving to critical milestones.
+ Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that meet the organization’s needs.
+ Serve as a role model for Milwaukee Tool’s culture while mentoring, guiding, and coaching junior engineers.
+ Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, e-loads, and data acquisition systems.
+ Design and qualify new designs to applicable regulatory standards such as UL, CEC, CE, and ANSI.
What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
+ 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, embedded systems, energy storage systems, power electronics or related field.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in the application of systems thinking and systems engineering methodologies in mechatronic systems.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in translating asks from internal and external stakeholders into product requirements.
+ Experience collecting and analyzing test data from electromechanical systems.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills, exercises independent judgement and works well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
+ Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).
Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
+ Experience analyzing and mitigating system risks using structured risk analyses such as FMEA, FTA or STPA.
+ Experience with functional and/or physical architecture development of multi-domain systems.
+ Experience with systems thinking and applying the systems approach to battery-powered embedded electronics systems.
+ Experience with model-based systems engineering, Universal Modeling Language (UML), and/or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
