Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 per year, with full benefits and relocation assistance available
Summary:
An established, family-owned manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join its team. In this role, you will handle end-to-end electrical design, testing, and validation of new products, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas from concept to production. Key Responsibilities:
- Product Design & Development: Assume design responsibilities from the senior team, completing and transitioning projects into production, including certification and qualification processes.
- PCB & Schematic Design: Design PCBs, schematics, power electronics, and control systems for various products.
- Project Management: Lead or support multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Firmware & Software Development: Develop or adapt firmware and/or software for product control functionality as needed.
- Documentation & BOM Management: Establish and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manage change processes for production machines.
- Standards Compliance: Build and test engineering prototypes and circuit boards to meet UL and EN/IEC standards.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical design and engineering.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering required (MS preferred, which may reduce experience requirements).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in PCB component design, electrical schematics, power electronics, and circuitry, from concept through production.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in PCB and electronics design software, ideally Altium; capable of using engineering computations for load capacities and strengths.
- Software Skills: Ability to write embedded software (C and/or C++) is a plus.
- Certifications & Compliance: Experience with UL, EMC, and EMI certifications is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Innovative, creative, and a critical thinker, capable of handling complex projects and solving technical challenges effectively.
