Electrical Engineer II-Power Systems
Location: Greenwood Village, CO - Hybrid Work Schedule
CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer with 2-5
years' experience to join our engineering group at our corporate location.
CLPE is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more
than twenty years' experience in electric utility system ownership,
upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City
Light & Power. We offer a wide range of power system engineering services to
investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and
commercial customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with designing sub-transmission systems, substations, switching
stations, and commercial/industrial power distribution system.
Develop concept design alternatives, engineering calculations, analysis,
and engineering estimates for small-scale system improvement projects for
substations and distribution systems.
Create, update, and maintain GIS database for large-scale electrical
distribution systems
Perform site surveys for new utility service requests, develop concept
design alternatives and present to management and the Customer.
Assist Lead Engineers with major capital upgrade projects.
Analyze electrical fault events, power quality issues, system loading
scenarios and assist with implementing corrective actions.
Create system model for large-scale power system in ETAP.
Perform various power system analyses/studies.
Schedule and attend field walk-downs to understand and determine project
requirements.
Maintain intermediate knowledge of power system protection and relaying
schemes for electrical distribution systems.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
BS degree, Electrical Engineering, from an accredited university. Power
systems emphasis preferred.
Due to the nature of our work with the federal government, you must be a US
Citizen.
Two-five (2-5) years' related engineering work experience.
Familiar with power system analysis, distribution system modeling, and
protective device coordination.
Experience with medium voltage electrical substations and distribution
systems.
Previous experience working with ETAP or similar software.
You must be a Team Player with excellent oral and written communication
skills.
Additional Requirements:
You must be a US citizen.
You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
A valid driver's license is required.

Salary range: $76,000-$108,000/year based on experience plus
eligible for participation in Short Term Incentive Plan
