Electrical Engineer - OEM Engineer II
About the Role
As an OEM Engineer II, you'll drive the integration and deployment of cutting-edge transit systems combining hardware, software, and communications technology to enhance mobility solutions globally. Working alongside the Systems Engineering team, you'll engage with clients early in the project lifecycle, manage design reviews, oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and lead on-site deployments. This role involves active collaboration with OEM Program Managers, technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless, quality-assured system rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical activities between the OEM Program Manager and project teams.
- Manage third-party integrations and certifications, ensuring system compatibility.
- Oversee system quality assurance, resource planning, and project prioritization.
- Participate in client demonstrations and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations.
- Analyze performance and troubleshoot issues across hardware and software components.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Systems Engineers for seamless deployments.
Required Skills and Experience
- 4+ years in project/systems or Electrical engineering with expertise in hardware, software, networking, and communications.
- Familiarity with Engineering Lab tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and vehicle manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of J1939 and J1708 protocols, multiplex systems, and basic hardware design.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with a willingness to learn new programs as needed.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.
