Electrical Engineer - Staff Finders Technical

Join our Facilities Team and contribute to the seamless operation of a high-tech manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team to drive electrical design, oversee construction projects, and maintain critical systems essential to our state-of-the-art operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain power distribution systems and fire/life safety systems in a manufacturing facility.
• Provide cost estimates and develop budgets for electrical and fire/life safety projects.
• Lead capital improvement projects and equipment maintenance from inception through commissioning.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure installations meet operational and safety standards.
• Perform field studies to identify and address power system issues, ensuring compliance with current codes and standards.
• Execute numerical and logical analyses for construction options, utility proposals, and risk management strategies.
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, enhancing reliability and safety through Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Develop cost-effective measures to optimize operational and maintenance expenses.
• Operate and coordinate maintenance for equipment, including:
  • Industrial medium voltage power transmission
  • Power generation and system stability
  • Power panels and uninterrupted power systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of five years of experience in facility electrical engineering, fire/life safety systems, construction project management, and electrical design.
• Proven ability to track projects and present detailed timelines effectively.
• Strong communication skills, including excellent presentation abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC wiring codes and standards.
• Familiarity with PLCs and motor controls; programming experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software is advantageous.
• Independent, safety-conscious, and self-motivated with strong judgment skills.
• Experience with Facility Management Systems (SCADA) preferred.
• Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Active State of Oregon Electrical PE license required.
