Hours/Schedule: Full-time,
Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm. (Must be flexible based on business needs.)

About the role:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for
specification, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing, and physical
plant equipment, along with project work to improve the safety, quality, and
performance of the manufacturing facility. Under the direction of the Plant
Engineering Manager, the electrical engineer will work with the engineering,
maintenance, and operations teams to improve safety, reliability, and
efficiency.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain automatic machines with PLCs, hydraulics,
and pneumatic controls. - Able to utilize software to troubleshoot PLC’s
HMI’s and AC Drives. - Layout, install, adjust, and maintain a variety of
electrical equipment such as wiring, motors, switches, controllers, and
electrical mechanisms. - Diagnose and remedy any electrical trouble quickly
to avoid shutdowns. - Determine necessary repairs, tear down, and
reassemble machines. - Maintain equipment drawings and documentation to
utilize such references for timely repairs. - Troubleshoot potential problems before machinery
incurs additional expense or production downtime. - Assist in the installation of new equipment as
necessary. - Demonstrate flexibility by being on-call as needed
to maintain production schedules and remaining on the shift when needed to
manage shifting priorities and demands. - Perform preventative maintenance, 5S, improvement,
and special projects, as well as perform other assigned tasks as directed
by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Physical Demands
- Must
be able to stand/walk for 8 hours. - Must
be able to push/pull/ lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with
the help of a team member. - The
employee is frequently required to grasp, walk, bend, reach, squat, twist,
and rotate the body. - The
employee may have to reach in odd position and/or lie down. - Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth
perception, and ability to adjust focus. - Must
be able to use, handle, and manipulate items and materials, including
hazardous materials, with proper material handling equipment/tools. - Must
complete 24/40-hour HazWoper Training and be medically qualified to wear
respiratory protection.

Safety Requirements

Physically
able to pass spirometry exam for test fitting of respiratory equipment.

Ability
to wear required PPE (including safety glasses, gloves (nitrile, canvas, etc.),
hearing protection, ANSI-approved footwear, and others as required.) in any
manufacturing area.

Ability
to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area.
Our ideal candidate:
- Preferred: Minimum; Associate in Applied Science –
Electronics Engineering Technology, equivalent experience or Electrical
Certification or License - At least 3 years’ experience performing
maintenance and repair of machinery, support equipment, and facility with
a focus on electrical components. Troubleshoot and repair existing or
potential electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems. - Must be able to work from blueprints, manufacturer
specifications, and wiring diagrams. - Ability to use common precision measurement gages
and equipment. - Technical knowledge of automated production
machine equipment and maintenance required. - Experience with batch mixing, coating, and
laminate extrusion processes preferred. - Experience with Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, and
Yaskawa PLCs preferred. - Must successfully pass a pre-employment background
check.
