SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, Basic to support project senior engineering staff by conducting research, develop, design, and test electrical components supporting DOD navigation equipment and systems.
Position responsibilitieswill include, but are not limited to the following:
·Support senior personnel through assisting in design, documenting, testing, field operations, and maintenance of electrical installation of electronic circuits, components and integrated systems.
·Participate in the research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
·Evaluate operational systems and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions and/or address production risks in part obsolescence.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
·Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics or related scientific discipline.
·Three (3)+ years of professional engineering design experience in one of the following areas: Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Interface protocols (I/O); Digital design using state-of-the art microprocessors; Analog, power and/or Radio Frequency (RF) design.
·Experience in Allegro Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer, Operational-Requirement Computer-Aided Design (ORCAD), MatLab/Simulink preferred. Experience with C/C++/C# to include basic low level firmware design and/or higher level GUI based interface simulator design.
·Note: Experience may be concurrent
